My next *dream* car

Posted by josiahng on October 30, 2007

Anyone who knows me knows I like cars and not just any ordinary car but fast cars. I am constantly looking online and dreaming about what car I will one day buy when I’m a wealthy man! So I will reveal to you my current top 3 list. And they are *drumroll*

1. Audi RS4

2. Mercedes E55 AMG

3. Noble M400

The reason I’m fond of the first two is because they are fun, fast and practical. I need something that can keep up with the Porsches and Ferrari’s and also be able to put my bike and equipment in the boot. It is a requirement of mine that my car be able to sprint from 0-100km/h in under 5 seconds. Secondly, I like German luxery. I like the smoothness of a ride and richness of the interior. Germans make the best quality cars hands down. I’m fond of the four door sports sedan. Those are two cars that are quiet affordable (at least in the States)

The Noble M400 is not one car that is well known by the general public. You have to be a real car person to know what this is. I won’t bore you with all the hoo-has on the doo-das because if you want to know all that, you can just google it. I want one because I think someday I will be able to afford it and have fun dusting all other super exotics that are 3, 4, or even 5 times the price!

Cars I’ve owned in my liftime

1. 1985 Toyota Tercel Station Wagon- This was a family car that was given to me by my parents.

2. 1990 Mitsubishi pickup truck- My first and only truck. It was not very reliable and I sank thousands of $$ keeping it up

3. 1993 Honda Civic EX- I really enjoyed this car. I bought this with prize money I won at a race and sold it a year later for the same price I bought it for!

4. 1995 Honda Civic SI- I got this from my friend Jon. It was stolen from him twice and so when they recovered it a 2nd time he gave it to me and I had it done up only to have it stolen from me! Did I mention thieves love this car!

5. 2002 Subaru WRX fully modified- This was my pride and joy. I consider this my first big purchase. I fell in love with it at first sight. It was completely and tastfully modified but you couldn’t really tell from the outside. It was very fast, almost too fast for my driving ability.

6. 2002 Audi A6- This is my first grown up car so to speak. I got it used at a great deal and have enjoyed many long road trips in this.

Josiah To Strengthen Squad For Korat Games

PETALING JAYA, Oct 25 (Bernama) — National track champion Josiah Ng has been enlisted by the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) to strengthen the squad for the Korat Sea Games in Thailand in December.

Other cyclists named for the track event are Mohd Azizul Hasni Awang, Mohd Rizal Tisin, Mohd Edrus Md Yunus and Junaidi Mohd Nasir while for the women’s category, Nor Azian Elias, Urraca Leow and Fatehah Mustafa.

MNCF vice president Datuk Naim Mohamed said: “I have discussed with Josiah about it and he has agreed to represent the country at the Sea Games although he has become an international racer.

“His selection does not mean the MNCF if denying the capability of other racers,” he told reporters here today.

“At the Sea Games, we will send both new and experienced racers. For the new ones, it will be an exposure for them,” he said.

Naim said that by having Josiah in the line-up and with the success of national racers at the Asian Cycling Championship in Bangkok recently, he was confident that the squad would achieve excellent results.

Based on the current performance of the racers, he said, the squad would be able to bring home more than four golds won in the Manila games two years ago.

“Our track racers, particularly those for the sprint event, are training in Melbourne while those taking part in pursuit will go to Sydney next month for the first round of the Classic World Cup Cycling Championship.

“All the track racers will return after the tournament to participate in the Asian Cup Sultan Azlan Shah Track Cycling Championship at the Cheras Velodrome before leaving for the second round of the Classic World Cup Cycling Championship in Beijing,” he said.

Racers for the highway event, meanwhile, would go for the Hainan Tour Championship from Nov 3 to 10 and then proceed to Kunming for high altitude training until the start of the Sea Games.

For the highway event, experienced racer Suhardi Hassan will guide Anuar Manan, Ahmad Haidar Anuar and Mohd Raof Nur Misbah while Mohd Fauzan Ahmad Lutfi and Ng Yong Li will take part in individual time trial.

Top Reasons to Date a Cyclist!

Posted by josiahng on October 18, 2007

That bulge isn’t just the chamois.

Balls of steel.

We can go for hours and hours even when it hurts.

We know how to take it easy.

We know not to go real hard right from the beggining.

Smoother legs than you.

Skin tight lycra is real easy to take off.

Can you say perfectly sculpted legs?

Better power-to-weight ratio than a small car.

We don’t need booths to get our amazing tan…lines.

Perfect ass.

Diamond cut calves.

Incredible thigh definition.

Who else can perform for over 5 hours a day for 20 consecutive days?

When it gets hard, we find a rhythym and pound away.

We go hard and push until it gets even harder.

Some days we feel the need to attack, explore, and adventure.

We know that everything needs to be properly lubricated before it can be used to its full potential.

Even when we’re about to explode, we can always hang on a little bit longer.

We always have water bottles and snacks laying around for those those times when it gets real long.

Rocket 7

Posted by josiahng on October 3, 2007

Check out my new Rocket 7 custom track shoes! I often see cyclists looking for every advantage to kit themselves out with super expensive components for their bikes. Then they buy stock shoes that fit poorly and are of meager quality. I did my research and wanted to find a shoe that had optimum fit, performance, and comfort. I chose Rocket 7’s initially because of the customized fit and the cool looks. But after riding them for a full season, I was convinced that they are the lightest, stiffest, best fitting, and coolest looking shoe out there. This is my fourth season on them and I can’t wait to break in my new pearl whites, complete with my my name embroidered on the sides. Check them out at www.rocket7.com. I treasure them so much that when I travel, I make sure to pack them in my carry-on luggage just in case my check-in’s get lost. Invest in a pair and you will be truly impressed!
